Cara ajar Bahasa Melayu perlu disesuai dengan perubahan demografi
BH noted that Dr Mohamed Aidil Subhan, Senior Lecturer of Curriculum and Pedagogy at NIE, said that teachers must teach the Malay language in the dominant language used by students, which in the case of Singapore would be English. Dr Mohamed was speaking in a lecture titled “The Use of Malay and English Newspaper in The Teaching and Learning of The Malay Language – A Teaching Adaptation” at the Teacher’s Webinar organised by Berita Harian and student newspaper Gen-G. Two Arif Budiman Teacher Award (AGAB) recipients, Arfah Buang from the Singapore School of Science and Technology and Elna Hussin from Westwood Primary School, also shared their experience using newspapers to teach Malay language in the classroom.
