Based on his research project “Integrating Multiliteracies into the English Language Classroom: Developing an Instructional Approach to Teach Multimodal Literacy (Critical Viewing and Effective Representing of Multimodal Texts)”, Asst Prof Victor Lim Fei from the English Language and Literature Academic Group (ELL AG) in NIE, has published a book chapter and co-authored a research article.

Asst Prof Lim’s book chapter, titled “Towards Education 4.0: An Agenda for Multiliteracies in the English Language Classroom”, is published in “Literacies, Culture, and Society towards Industrial Revolution 4.0: Reviewing Policies, Expanding Research, Enriching Practices in Asia” edited by Prof Fuad Abdul Hamied, Professor, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung. The book aims to review existing policies in education, expand research to foster more collaboration, and provide solutions to problems that might arise as a result of rapid technological advancements.

Findings from his research project also led to the paper ““I expect boredom”: students' experiences and expectations of multiliteracies learning”, co-authored by project co-Principal Investigator, Assoc Prof Csilla Weninger, ELL AG, NIE, and Dr Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Research Fellow, ELL AG, NIE, reflecting on students’ experiences and expectations in multiliteracy learning as seen through their research study.
