Asst Prof Vahid Aryadoust Shares in Webinar on “Assessment and the New Normal”

Universiti Sains Malaysia hosted a webinar on the topic “Assessment and the New Normal” on 19 June 2020. Asst Prof Vahid Aryadoust from NIE’s English Language & Literature Academic Group was invited by the organisers to give a presentation titled “Lessons from the development of an online diagnostic system of reading”. This presentation was based on his research project “Cognitive Diagnostic Assessment System (CoDiAS) for Singapore’s Secondary Schools: Toward Individualized Learning and Assessment in Language Education”.

Asst Prof Aryadoust shared his experiences on the adoption of online diagnostic systems with the audience. He also emphasised on the importance of having clarity on the uses of the diagnostic systems before adopting any systems.
