Assoc Prof Stephen Burns and Asst Prof Masato Kawabata Publish in the Journal Nutrients

Assoc Prof Stephen Burns and Asst Prof Masato Kawabata from the Physical Education and Sports Science Academic Group in NIE have published an article on how “Breakfast and Exercise Improve Academic and Cognitive Performance in Adolescents” in the open access journal Nutrients. This article is based on research findings from their project on the “Effect of Breakfast and Exercise on Academic and Cognitive Performance in Junior College Students”, where Assoc Prof Burns and Asst Prof Kawabata were Principal and co-Principal Investigator respectively.

This project was also presented to Ministry of Education officials including the Permanent Secretary (Education) and NIE Council members at the launch of the Science of Learning in Education Centre on 24 March 2021.
