Assoc Prof Mark Baildon Interviewed on Global Citizenship Education
Assoc Prof Mark Baildon, from NIE’s Humanities and Social Studies Education Academic Group and Office of Education Research, was interviewed by Dr Emiliano Bosio, editor of Conversations on Global Citizenship Education (Routledge), on Dr Bosino’s Global Citizenship Education Interview Series on 13 July 2021.
The Global Citizenship Education Interview Series aims to be a valuable resource to relevant teaching experiences on global citizenship education to help translate research into practice for educators, inspire more research on the subject, and teach the general public more about the history, philosophy, and practice of global citizenship education. Assoc Prof Baildon was interviewed for his research in global citizenship education, where he has published three books on the subject: Social Studies as New Literacies in a Global Society: Relational Cosmopolitanism in the Classroom (with James Damico; Routledge, 2011), Controversial History Education in Asian Contexts (Routledge, 2013), and Research on Global Citizenship in Asia: Conception, Perceptions, and Practice (with Theresa Alviar-Martin, Information Age Publishing, 2021).
