About NIE-GRC & Organising Committee

NIE-GRC

National Institute of Education – Graduate Research Conference (NIE-GRC) is focused on planning and organizing the annual research conference for our graduate students. It is a subsidiary of the Office of Graduate Studies and Professional Learning (GPL).

The graduate research conference has its roots in 2012 where it started out as the inaugural NIE Graduate Student Day and subsequently the NIE Graduate Student Conference in 2016 before its rebranding this year. It was instituted to encourage students to share and discuss their research insights and innovations and to provide a platform for networking and making connections. Over the years, the organization has stayed true to its ethos in promoting knowledge sharing and supporting graduate research through the conduct of poster presentations, oral presentations, and other academic activities during the conference.

Mission of NIE-GRC

To champion innovation, uphold the stewardship of knowledge, and empower future-ready scholars through courage, excellence, and a deep-rooted commitment to research.

Through the conference, we aim not only to push the boundaries of scientific inquiry, but also to foster and build a research-practice community that enable one another and drive positive impactful change.
