Programmes

The Physical Education and Sports Science (PESS) academic group of the National Institute of Education offers a variety of programmes in teacher education specialising in physical education. PESS aims to develop student teachers in areas of professional competence and expertise in teaching physical education as a major subject.

The three initial teacher training programmes not only provide theoretical and practical courses in Physical Education, but also the knowledge and skills for student teachers to teach other academic school subjects.

In addition, there are also graduate programmes and in-service courses offered to PE teachers & educators in related fields who would like to enhance their career and research.
