Visiting Expert Series - Dr Andres Relipe Salazar Gomez presents his sharing on augmented reality and artificial intelligence

Hosted by the Office for Research (OfR) on 6 August 2025, Dr. Andrés Felipe Salazar Gómez presented his research on using augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance learning and on-the-ground work as part of OfR’s Visiting Expert Series. He shared current efforts to foster AI literacy, entrepreneurship, and innovation in K–12 education, as well as work on extracting and quantifying implicit knowledge. He introduced a new method for making that knowledge explicit through AR and agentic AI, and closed with reflections on incorporating AI skills into the PISA test.
