The author suggested that parents should read to their children in Malay and use the language in their daily interactions to increase their children's comprehension of the language. She related her experience in raising her children to be bilingual using the One Parent One Language (Opol) method. According to language expert Dr Mohamed Aidil Subhan, children should also listen to their parents interacting with each other in Malay. The author was grateful for the various resources available, such as the Nabil Nabilah series which came with complete reading materials and worksheets for children to practice with their parents and encourage the use of Malay language at home.
