Prof Tan Oon Seng Gives Keynote at International Conference on Early Childhood Education
The Korean Association for Early Childhood Education hosted the Fall 2020 International Conference on Early Childhood Education on 14 November 2020. The conference, themed “Directions and challenges of early childhood education for the civilized society of the 21st century”, showcased four leading international perspectives—Nordic, East-Asian, American, and Korean—on early childhood development and education in the keynote addresses.
Prof Tan Oon Seng, Centre Director of the Centre for Research in Child Development and Professor in the Psychology and Child & Human Development Academic Group, represented the East-Asian perspective with his keynote address titled: “Designing Early Childhood Education for the 21st Century: A Honeycomb Integrated Model”, along with other keynote speakers from around the world.
The hybrid conference was held at the Seoul City Hotel and saw over 400 participants in-person and online.
