Dr Sally Ann Jones was invited by the English Language Institute of Singapore (ELIS), MOE, Singapore to engage in conversation with Principal Master Teacher Cedric Leong of ELIS, and Senior Teacher Ms Renee Yuanna Sulaiman and Teacher Mr Andre Wong Zu Quan to discuss perspectives on Metacognition and Its Place in Our English Language Classrooms (Episode 3) youtu.be. The podcast is in the ELIS series Windows on Expertise and introduces ideas for building metacognition among students and supporting teacher’s development in this focal area of the current English language syllabus. Throughout the conversation, the four discussants make theory, research, and practice connections.
