Dr Khor Ean Teng co-publishes a journal article and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Mathematics, Science and Technology Education
Dr Khor Ean Teng, Education Research Scientist from the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP), co-published a journal article titled, “Systematic Review on the Application of Multimodal Learning Analytics to Personalize Students' Learning” in the AsTEN Journal of Teacher Education. The journal article discusses the application of Multimodal Learning Analytics (MMLA) in the context of personalized learning (PL). By integrating multimodal data from sources such as physiological sensors, MMLA provides deeper insights into cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects of learning. The review identifies research gaps, particularly in non-STEM subjects and informal learning environments, and emphasizes MMLA's potential to enhance real-time feedback, student engagement, and teacher interventions. The findings suggest that while MMLA has shown promise in various educational contexts, further exploration is needed to fully harness its capabilities in broader pedagogical applications.
Dr Khor was also invited to the editorial board of the Journal of Mathematics, Science and Technology Education, a peer-reviewed, online academic research journal.
