Dr Khor Ean Teng and her student came in 2nd place for the 2023 DISCOVER URECA Poster Competition

Dr Khor Ean Teng, Education Research Scientist from the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP), and her student, Poh Zi Xiang, took part in the 2023 DISCOVER URECA Poster Competition alongside 132 other URECA students from all schools in Nanyang Technological University including National Institute of Education, Sports Science & Management and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

Winners were determined by mean scores across a panel of faculty judges after each poster and presentation were evaluated on overall visual, content, oral and impact in relation to the research. Dr Khor and Zi Xiang's project, "Educational Predictive Modelling to Forecast Learners' Academic Achievement", was awarded the 2^nd place under the “Education and Training” category. The winning URECA project for this category was related to the development of AI models using machine learning and data mining techniques to predict student academic achievement.
