Dr Jessica To, Associate Professor Kelvin Tan Heng Kiat and Miss Maureen Lim Su Ling publish a research paper in the “Teaching and Teacher Education” Journal

Dr Jessica To, Education Research Scientist from the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice, Assoc Prof Kelvin Tan Heng Kiat, Associate Professor and Miss Maureen Lim Su Ling, Research Assistant at the Learning Sciences and Assessment Academic Group, published a research paper titled “ From Error-focused to Learner-centred Feedback Practices: Unpacking the Development of Teacher Feedback Literacy” in the Teaching and Teacher Education journal, volume 131. This paper explores how a professional development programme fostered teacher feedback literacy in a Singapore secondary school. The data from reflective journals, focus group interviews and feedback artefacts indicated that the programme enhanced teachers’ understanding of learner-centred feedback and their capabilities to soothe students during peer feedback production and tackle pragmatic constraints.
