Celebrating Excellence in Education: The 15th Caring Teacher Awards 2024
The National Institute of Education is proud to have hosted the 15th Caring Teacher Awards (CTA) 2024 on 16 September 2024 at Dunman High School. This prestigious event, themed ‘Instilling a Caring Culture’, recognised ten exceptional educators who have made a profound impact by nurturing their students’ holistic development and inspiring them to become confident, resilient learners.
This year’s CTA received a remarkable 12,984 nominations from 259 schools, reflecting a 14% increase in nominations and an 8% increase in participating schools compared to CTA 2022. The awards celebrate teachers who go above and beyond in their dedication, compassion, and commitment to their students' well-being and growth. These educators exemplify the values of care, respect, and empathy in their classrooms, ensuring that each student reaches their fullest potential.
We were honoured to have Ms Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State for Education and Manpower, grace the ceremony as our Guest-of-Honour. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our esteemed partners—ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., the Ministry of Education, Dunman High School, dedicated judges and selection panel members —for their unwavering support in making this event a success.
