Associate Professor Victor Lim Fei publishes a book chapter and was invited to speak at the Raffles Girls' School 5th Centre for Pedagogical Research and Learning Symposium
Assoc Prof Victor Lim Fei from NIE’s English Language and Literature Academic Group (ELL AG), published a book chapter titled “How to Conduct a Multimodal Classroom Discourse Analysis” in the Qualitative Research Methods in English Medium Instruction for Emerging Researchers book. This book chapter explores an approach to conduct multimodal classroom discourse analysis with proposed frameworks to analyse the teachers’ use of gestures and spatial pedagogy from a social semiotics perspective.
He was also invited to present on “The possibilities and perils of ChatGPT et al. for learning” for a plenary session on “Technology and Education’s Next Frontier” at the RGS 5th PeRL Symposium, organised by the Raffles Girls' School, Centre for Pedagogical Research and Learning (PeRL) on 30 June 2023.
