NIE Innovation Launchpad Award

Established through a generous endowed gift from the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (Singapore), this award supports impactful innovations in learning and teaching – helping bring high-potential ideas from concept to adoption across NIE and beyond. The award is administered by the NIE Teaching and Learning Committee (TLC) and is open to all NIE faculty and staff to apply. 

The details of the award are as follows:​

  • Eligibility: All NIE faculty and staff​
  • Amount & Duration: 1 to 2 projects each year. The award amount / annual distribution is up to $30,000 each year.
  • Frequency of Call: The Fund will be administered by the NIE TLC with one award call a year. ​
  • Selection Criteria: The project and innovation proposals will be evaluated by the TLC based on two key criteria​
    • Technical readiness; and​
    • Curriculum, pedagogical or teaching and learning impact

    The inaugural call was announced in May 2026.
