陈振声：教育部提升实习计划开拓教师视野

Lianhe Zaobao noted that Minister/MOE Chan Chun Sing, in his speech at the Appointment and Appreciation Ceremony for Principals (AACP) 2021 on 3/12, had highlighted the importance for teachers to keep up with the times and have the confidence to lead students in coping with the ever-changing world. To this effect, MOE would enhance TWA-Plus and provide opportunities for teachers beyond the classroom, with over 150 work attachment openings from both public and private sector organisations. Teachers could also voluntarily propose attachments across various fields, including in the areas of sustainability, e-commerce and data analytics. MOE will also actively support learning for teachers, especially those who have never experienced work in a non-teaching context. Min also shared that the NIE had also done a survey for teachers in 16 schools, citing good working relationship, autonomy, respect and promotion opportunity as their motivation for work.
