Singapore's Asian Games sailing debutants clinch two silvers

Congratulations to NIE SSM student Jania Ang, who clinched the silver medal in the women’s ILCA 6 sailing event at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026!

Jania’s achievement is especially inspiring following a cycling accident weeks before the Games, which left her with a concussion and torn wrist tendons. After withdrawing from the World Championships to focus on her recovery, she returned to the water in Nagoya and delivered strong finishes in her final two races to secure second place.

Her remarkable comeback reflects tremendous resilience, determination and composure under pressure.

Well done, Jania! The NIE community is proud of you and celebrates this memorable achievement with you. 🇸🇬
