Professor Tan Oon Seng receives Nanyang Distinguished Alumni Award 2022 and speaks at IAE General Assembly 2022

Prof Tan Oon Seng, Centre Director of the Centre for Research in Child Development (CRCD), was conferred the Nanyang Distinguished Alumni Award 2022 at the Nanyang Alumni Awards ceremony held on Friday, 11 November 2022. The Nanyang Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honour that Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, bestows on its alumni who have achieved regional or international distinction in their chosen fields and have brought honour to the University. The Max Planck Institute of Human Development (one of the most renowned research institute in Europe) held a conference with the IAE General Assembly from 4 to 7 October 2022. IAE comprises some of the most accomplished professors and elected fellows globally. Prof Tan was invited to give an online titled, “Teacher Policies: Championing the Teacher Factor in Complex Environment”. Other speakers included high influencing academics such as Eric Hanushek from Stanford University, Fernando Reimers from Harvard University, William Schmidt from Michigan State University, Ludger Woessmann from Ludwig Maximillian University of Munich and many distinguished professors internationally.
