Excellence in Research Administration

Ms Kumutha Krisnan, Assistant Head (Grants Management) of OER Research Grants Management Unit (RGMU), has been awarded the Research Administrator Recognition Award conferred by the Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS) Singapore Chapter. This award aims to recognise research administrators who demonstrate high levels of competency and dedication in carrying out their duties in various aspects of research administration such as grant applications, post award management, research finance, grant data management and analysis, and promotion of research schemes among others.

The following colleagues from OER also received tokens of recognition for their accomplishment in being an ARMS Accredited Research Manager (Foundation), ARM(F). Being an ARM(F) is a testament to one’s knowledge and understanding of the key elements of research, its innovation system, and its application to research management. They are also the first few batch of candidates who are being accredited in Singapore. They include:

2) Ms Ng Qiu Ting Yvonne, Head (Research Grants Management)
3) Ms Kumutha Krisnan, Assistant Head (Grants Management)

The award ceremony was held in conjunction with the Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS) Singapore Chapter Conference held on 6 December 2019 at the Nanyang Technological University. 

Since its founding in 1999, ARMS has grown to include more than 3000 members from universities, independent research institutions, government agencies, and health and research organisations from across the Australasian region including Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Dedicated to the promotion of research management as a profession, ARMS has provided accreditation programmes since 2013 for the professional development of their members.  Being an ARMF is a testament to the knowledge and understanding of the key elements of research, its innovation system, and its application to research management.
