Dr Anitha Devi Pillai, Senior Lecturer with the English Language and Literature Department at NIE, was featured on CNA938’s Culture Club, where Melanie Oliveiro interviewed her about Food Republic: A Singapore Literary Banquet. She discussed her short story, “How Do You Want Your Dumplings?”, in the anthology, which was co-edited by Dr Ann Ang of the ELL Department at NIE, Daryl Lim Wei Jie and Tse Hao Guang.

The interview highlighted the connections between food, memory, and storytelling, and how such narratives reflect Singapore’s cultural life.
