Dr Wong Hwei Ming Interviewed on Supporting Students’ Mental Health

Based on her work as a part-time school counsellor, Dr Wong Hwei Ming, Research Scientist at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice, NIE, was interviewed by The New Paper for their article on “Changes to support students’ mental health a positive step”.  

The article followed the recent death of a River Valley High School student, and the subsequent measures implemented to support students’ mental health. In her interview, Dr Wong shared that she believes school counsellors, teacher-counsellors and form teachers need to work together to create a support system for students. Read the article here.
