Dr Nirmala Karuppiah Speaks on Supporting Children’s Play and Holistic Development

Dr Nirmala Karuppiah, Head (Education) at the Centre for Research in Child Development, NIE, spoke at the National Heritage Board’s “The Expert Series” on 30 November 2021. Her presentation, titled “Giving your Child the Gift of Play” touched on how parents can leverage museums to support children’s play and holistic development in their early years, and was supported by research findings from Dr Karuppiah’s project studying “Parents' Perception of 'Play' and 'Holistic Development' in the Early Years”.
