Dr Imelda Caleon and Dr Matthew Gaydos Present on Understanding and Nurturing Social Capital in Schools

Dr Imelda Caleon, Asst Dean (Partnerships) at the Office of Education Research and Senior Education Research Scientist at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP), and Dr Matthew Gaydos, CRPP Education Research Scientist, presented on “Understanding and Nurturing Social Capital in Schools” on 26 January 2022.

Dr Caleon and Dr Gaydos shared on the meaning of social capital in the lives of young people, and focused on the school setting as a venue for growing social capital and empowering students to access and harness their social capital to improve school adjustment and functioning. The presentation was attended by 35 school leaders from the West 2 Cluster of Schools.
