Asst Prof Masato Kawabata Presents at the AIESEP 2021 Scientific Conference

Asst Prof Masato Kawabata, from NIE’s Physical Education and Sports Science Academic Group, presented at the AIESEP 2021 Scientific Conference on 8 June. Asst Prof Kawabata’s presentation, titled “Physical activity levels during Singapore primary school physical education”, was based on findings from his research project investigating the “Effects of school-based intervention programs in promoting moderate to vigorous physical activity during leisure-time”. The presentation detailed a study on physical activity intensity levels during Physical Education (PE) lessons at a Singapore primary school and if the PE lessons were sufficient in promoting physical activity amongst primary school students.
