Asst Prof Azilawati Jamaludin Speaks on the Science of Game-based Learning
Asst Prof Azilawati Jamaludin, Asst Prof in NIE’s Learning Sciences and Assessment Academic Group and Asst Dean (Science of Learning) at the Office of Education Research, was invited to speak at the Inaugural Games Conference, organised by Anglo Chinese School (Independent) (ACSI), on 12th November 2020.
Asst Prof Jamaludin’s talk, titled “The Science of Game-based learning: Neuroscience Perspectives”, was attended by senior teachers, deans, and directors of ACSI via Microsoft Teams. She introduced attendees to the field of the Science of Learning, delving into the theories, elements, and assessment of Digital Game-Based Learning and shared about the neuroscientific perspectives of learning and gameplay. The session concluded with a lively question and answer segment where Asst Prof Jamaludin responded to many stimulating and insightful questions from the attendees.
