4 August 2025 [5pm to 8pm]:

Welcome Reception
Sponsored by the Singapore Association for Applied Linguistics (SAAL)

SAAL

Our very first social event kicking off NWAV-AP 8, will be held on 4 August 2025 (5pm to 8pm) at NTU@one-north (Function Hall 1/1A). This welcome reception is a get-together for the community to (re)connect, network, and essentially catch up with old and new friends over light snacks and drinks. All registered participants are welcomed to attend.

We would like to express our sincerest thanks to the Singapore Association for Applied Linguistics (SAAL) for their generous support  in this event.

SAAL aims to provide a means for professionals working in applied linguistics to establish and maintain contact with one another and to keep up to date with research and developments in the field of applied linguistics; to invite specialists in applied linguistics to give talks, lectures, seminars and workshops to members of the Association; to promote research in applied linguistics; and to conduct other activities which may be useful for developing the professional competence of members of the Association. SAAL is an affiliate of the Association Internationale de Linguistique Appliquée (AILA).
