EEE MSc Students Experience Singapore’s Multicultural Tapestry at the National Museum

On 26 September 2025, students from the EEE MSc programme explored Singapore’s diverse cultural roots through a guided Multiculture Walk at the National Museum of Singapore.

The tour began with a curated tour through the museum’s permanent galleries and special exhibitions, showcasing how Southeast Asian, South Asian, and Islamic influences intertwine in Singapore’s history, art, and design. Students gained deeper appreciation of the nation’s cultural evolution from ancient trade routes and early communities to modern-day expressions of identity.

Following the tour, participants enjoyed free time to wander, capture moments, and reflect on the narratives that define Singapore’s multicultural story. The experience offered not only historical insight but also a meaningful opportunity for students to connect beyond the classroom and appreciate Singapore’s cultural diversity.

The event was part of the EEE MSc multicultural engagement series, designed to enrich students’ understanding of Singapore’s heritage and foster intercultural awareness within the NTU postgraduate community.
