Translation 4 Impact (T4I) Series - Ideas to Impact: Writing Commentaries that Connect [Workshop]
How can education researchers communicate their work in ways that resonate with the public? In the latest Translation 4 Impact (T4I) workshop organised by the Research-Practice-Policy Group (RPPG), Associate Professors Loh Chin Ee and Jason Tan - both seasoned contributors to mainstream media - led the participants in multiple discussions coupled with various hands-on activities, as well as shared what they have learned from writing numerous new commentaries, the dos-and-don'ts when it comes to crafting pieces that engage readers, communicate evidence clearly, and shape public discourse.
Participants' feedback were positive as they shared that they appreciated the valuable insights, sharing of real-world experience, and the feedback they received during the discussions and activities. Participants also mentioned that the workshop was very informative and interactive!
