The Science of Learning in Education Centre hosts delegates from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
On 8 April 2025, the Science of Learning in Education Centre (SoLEC) had the pleasure of hosting distinguished delegates from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr Saad Al-Kami, Chief Officer of Educational Programs at the National Institute for Educational Professional Development (NIEPD), Dr Almas Aldawood, Chief Officer of Educational Programs at Talemia, Mr Eng. Yasser Almhasen, General Manager at Tatweer for Educational Services, and Dr Nouf Alhakami, Project Lead at Talemia. The visit was hosted by Assistant Professor Azilawati Jamaludin, Assistant Centre Director in Human Potential and Translation at SoLEC, where she provided a comprehensive overview of SoLEC’s vision, mission, ongoing research projects, team members and research facilities.
Mdm Samyuktha Sampathraman, Research Associate at SoLEC, presented the project “Beyond Disengagement: Understanding Boredom and Its Impact on Learning”, followed by a guided tour of the SoLEC lab by Dr Eleanor Koo Wei Shi, the Centre’s Lab Manager, showcasing the lab’s cutting-edge equipment.
The visit concluded with a lively and meaningful exchange of ideas and insights between the delegates and SoLEC, fostering valuable connections and future opportunities for collaboration.
