NIE faculty and researchers publish two articles in the Information and Technology in Education and Learning Journal and Smart Learning Environments Journal

Dr Alwyn Vwen Yen Lee, Education Research Scientist from the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP), Dr Elizabeth Koh, Deputy Director (Academic) and Senior Research Scientist from the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP) and Prof Looi Chee Kit, Emeritus Professor at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University (NIE NTU) wrote a journal article titled “AI in Education and Learning Analytics in Singapore: An Overview of Key Projects and Initiatives” in the Information and Technology in Education and Learning journal. The article explores an overview of key artificial intelligence (AI) in education and learning analytics (LA) projects and initiatives in Singapore, organized by the types of technology.

Dr Alwyn Vwen Yen Lee also wrote a journal article titled "Designs and Practices using Generative AI for Sustainable Student Discourse and Knowledge Creation” in the Smart Learning Environments journal, alongside Assoc Prof Tan Seng Chee, Associate Professor at the Learning Sciences and Assessment Academic Group (LSA AG) and Dr Teo Chew Lee, Deputy Centre Director of Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP). The article addresses how emergent technological advancements such as GPT, can be considered and utilized in designs that are consistent with the ideals of sustainable student discourse and knowledge creation.
