Dr Adam John Privitera receives a new grant and speaks at Shenzhen University

Dr Adam John Privitera, Education Research Scientist at the Science of Learning in Education Centre (SoLEC), has been awarded a grant under the Ministry of Education (MOE) Science of Learning A3 Grant. The project titled “Language, Learning, and Living Well in Middle Adulthood and Beyond (L3MA)”, led by Dr Adam Privitera as Principal Investigator (PI) in collaboration with researchers from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and University of Edinburgh, aims to leverage research in the Science of Learning to investigate lifestyle factors that can enhance learning and vocational success during middle adulthood in light of cognitive decline associated with healthy aging. This project will also investigate the relationship between patterns of bilingualism, cognitive control, and learning among middle-aged, English-Mandarin bilingual Singaporeans.

On 15 April 2025, Dr Adam Privitera was also invited to give a talk titled “Bilingual Effects on Cognitive Control: Addressing Limits and Advancing the Field”, hosted by Professor Lu Shuo, Principal Investigator (PI) of the Neurolinguistics Laboratory at Shenzhen University.
