Overseas Film Festival
The Overseas Film Festival course gives students the opportunity to explore film festivals' role in global film culture and ecosystem, as well as experience a prestigious international film festival. Prior to traveling to the festival, students acquire critical perspectives on festivals' history and theory. At the festival, students gain direct, hands-on experience through attending screenings, industry talks, and meeting and engaging with professionals from across the globe. While at the festival, they investigate a research topics of their choosing that explore course concepts, developing a more thorough understanding of the international film festival's curatorship, programming, management, and organisation practice.
