WKWSCI Advisory Board
In conjunction with its 25th anniversary, WKWSCI introduced a new advisory board made up of exemplary alumni. The WKWSCI Advisory Board (AB) is a committed partner with the school in delivering its mission. The WKWSCI AB provides guidance and support to the school, with emphasis on educational goals, fostering professional relationships, and developing and maintaining alumni engagement. The AB is comprised of individuals with diverse professional experiences who represent a broad context for communication practices.

Wong Voal Voal
Managing Partner, IN.FOM
Class of 1997
A seasoned PR practitioner with over 20 years of experience working with global and Asian brands, Voal Voal co-founded IN.FOM in 2011, a homegrown agency that has received recognition from the regional and international communications industry.

Angeline Poh
Chief Customer & Corporate Development Officer, Mediacorp
Class of 1999
Angeline Poh is Mediacorp’s Chief Customer & Corporate Development Officer.
In this concurrent appointment, she oversees Mediacorp’s audience engagement and programming across its multiple platforms; as well as manages the development and execution of corporate-wide strategy, projects, and initiatives. She also oversees the Singapore Media Academy, which offers training and education services for the media industry.
Before joining Mediacorp, Angeline was the Assistant Chief Executive Officer of the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) responsible for developing the Tech & Media sectors. She also oversaw the development and implementation of Singapore’s public service content strategies and initiatives. Prior to the formation of IMDA, she led the Media Development Authority’s (MDA) industry planning and development group and previously served as the Managing Director of McGraw-Hill Education (Asia), after holding various positions at the Singapore Economic Development Board.

Eugene Wee

After graduating from WKWSCI, Eugene began his career with Singapore Press Holdings, taking on a variety of roles in media and business, staying with the company for 24 years. At The New Paper, he worked as journalist covering tech, politics, business, crime and entertainment, foreign correspondent based in the US, news editor and editor. Eugene also served as SPH's Chief Customer Officer, CEO of SPH Magazines, and Head of Media Strategy.
In addition to his role on WKWSCI's Advisory Board, Eugene is active on the advisory boards at other Singapore educational institutions, sharing his expertise in Film and Media Studies as well as Business Management.

Vivien Ng

Vivien represents the Emerging Market and Asian Equities team on its equity strategies to institutional and wholesale investors globally. Her role encompasses business development, retention of assets, pitching and marketing the team's investment portfolios. Prior to this, her experiences spanned the finance and media industry, in economics research, business development, marketing, and journalism.

Kelvin Kao

From the graduating batch of 2005, Kelvin is the CEO and founder of PROTOCOL, an award-winning creative company. Since its inception in 2012, the agency has worked with a portfolio of global & local brands from Nestle, Mandai, Lendlease, Starhub, Canon, Club Med, among others, in developing creative campaigns and social media content.

Adrian Yeap
Founder, Sweatshop
Class of 2007
Adrian loves a good sweat. From the national floorball league to international poker tournaments, he never shies away from the heat of the competition. It is with the same spirit that challenged him to found Sweatshop after spending 17 years across network agencies like Ogilvy, Leo Burnett and Publicis.
His career highlights include being the first and only Singaporean to win back-to-back D&AD Yellow Pencils, steering his last agency to a historic, first-ever Effie Agency of the Year, and marrying the first suit that gave him a good brief.

Steven Lim
CEO, RSTN Consulting Pte Ltd

Mr. Steven Lim is an entrepreneur with 27 years of experience in the information technology industry. Since co-founding RSTN Consulting Company in 1997, he has served as the group CEO and Founder. The group has branches in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and the Middle East.
Beyond his business success, he is an active community leader with multiple roles, including serving as Chairman of the Youth-Wing for the Serangoon Constituency of the People’s Action Party from 2002 to 2008. Mr. Lim has also held key positions such as Vice Chairman of the Enterprise Chapter of the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation, Ambassador for Singapore University of Technology and Design, Industry Fellow for NTU Technopreneur Academy and Fellow at the Singapore University of Social Sciences, where he is also the Chairman of their Entrepreneurship Program.
A strong advocate for philanthropy, Mr. Lim has donated S$1 million to Nanyang Technological University, as well as providing bursaries and scholarships to Singapore Management University and Singapore University of Social Sciences. He is also actively involved in various organizations, including the Singapore Manufacturers Federation, the Consumers Association of Singapore, and the School Advisory Committee at Valor Primary School.

Ng Kaijie
Director (Product Strategy), GovTech
Class of 2012
Kaijie heads up product strategy at GovTech, with the mission of helping to deliver great products with public impact, at scale.
Kaijie’s experience crosses 2B and 2C. He was seconded to Carousell Group as their first Corporate Strategy Director, driving their US$1.1b funding round. In IMDA, he headed up the PIXEL Innovation Hub and Open Innovation Platform, matching corporates and start-ups, and AI Verify Foundation, the government’s first open-source endeavour aimed at helping organisations develop trusted AI systems. He has more than 7 years of experience as a ministry policy wonk, across higher education, transport and manpower. Finding a way to scale impact for a greater good, is a natural evolution of this journey.

Sarah Wan
General Manager, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, Klook
Class of 2013
As Klook’s General Manager for Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sarah oversees the travel and leisure platform's operations, including business development, marketing and e-commerce.
In the past few years, Sarah has led her team in tackling the domestic and cross-border tourism market amidst a rapidly changing environment - from kickstarting Klook's foray into hotels, entertainment and cruises, to innovating and enhancing traditional tourism products.
In her previous role as Southeast Asia Marketing Director, Sarah was recognised in The Drum’s Global Future 50 2020 list, for her efforts in pivoting Klook’s business during the pandemic.

Serene Cai
Co-founder, Speedoc

Serene is the Co-founder of Speedoc, one of the region's leading digital health startups specialising in decentralised care and home-based medical care.
Founded in 2017, Speedoc is a virtual clinic and healthcare solutions platform enabling users access to home-based medical care and services. Speedoc’s aim is to drive the world’s medical care needs out of hospitals and clinics by delivering a full suite of healthcare services to people’s homes. These services include home visits by doctors and nurses, video consultations, allergy and health screenings, remote health monitoring, and its flagship virtual hospital services.
In 2020, Speedoc raised S$6.7 million in a Series A funding round led by Vertex Ventures; and in 2022, it raised a further S$28 million in a pre-Series B funding to expand its virtual hospital programme. Serene continues to work with hospital and government partners to expand virtual hospital services globally.

Sonia Rao

Sonia is a global leader in the tech industry with a journey spanning across Engineering, Operations and Product Partnership. Currently, she heads the Technical Partner Management at Facebook Singapore, and has extensive experience in innovation, transformation and building high performing teams.
Sonia’s career has been a jungle gym - she believes growth isn’t always linear! She is now on a mission to guide others in constructing their own remarkable narratives in their career. She champions diverse career transitions, especially for non-tech professionals breaking into tech and more women rising to leadership. A strong advocate for mentorship and inclusion, Sonia has coached many on their career journeys, and helped them navigate complexities of career change, transition and advancement. She ultimately empowers them to thrive in a career they feel excited about!

Christopher Eng
Head of the Information Centre, Republic of Singapore's Air Force

Christopher is the Head of the Information Centre for Republic of Singapore's Air Force (RSAF), managing both their internal and external communication. Christopher was awarded the Pearson Gold Medal for the highest CGPA in 2022.
After graduating from MMC, he actively pushed RSAF to implement best practices, encouraging RSAF to adopt channels for internal communication that promote two-way exchanges
