WKWSCI seeks to honour current students with outstanding academic performance, in order to motivate them towards continued excellence.
Students who emerge the top 5% of their cohorts are awarded the Dean's List.

The following academic awards are given to undergraduate students who performed exceptionally well in their studies.

The School provides scholarships and awards to identify and support outstanding graduate students who demonstrate top academic performance, strong leadership potential and exhibit passion, and high capability passion for research.
The Master of Media and Communication (MMC) programme recognises outstanding students each academic year through two awards that celebrate academic excellence, leadership, and potential.
- Two awards are presented to outstanding students at the end of each academic year.
- Awardees are selected from the top two students based on Term Grade Point Average (TGPA).
- Students must have completed a minimum of three courses in the relevant semester.
- Leadership and demonstrated potential may also be considered.
- Graduating students and previous award recipients are not eligible.

- Two awards each given to two outstanding students in the programme at the end of each semester.
- Awarded to Top two TGPA (Term Grade Point Average) students.
- The awardees must have done minimum 3 courses in the given semester.
- Other factors such as leadership and potential can also be considered.
- Graduating students and students who have previously been awarded are not eligible for the scholarship.
The Scholarship aims to support and encourage individuals to attain higher education in the library profession. It provides financial support to an individual for graduate study in a recognised school of library science, leading to an MLS, M.Sc. (Information Studies) or equivalent, who has the potential to have an exceptional career as a librarian.
Award: The Sponsorship of S$5,000 is to partially cover tuition in a school of library and information science or the equivalent.

Scholarships are available for both Master of Communication Studies and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes.
