Assistant Professor in Information Science
The School seeks applicants who research how information is created, organised, found, used and preserved; and how AI changes each of these. Candidates should have experience in one or more areas, including human information interaction, AI and information organisation, data and digital curation, social and community informatics, and information analytics.

Assistant Professor in Human-Computer Interaction
The School seeks applicants examining how people interact, collaborate, create, work, and make decisions with increasingly intelligent computing systems. Research areas include human-AI interaction and collaboration, user experience design, intelligent and adaptive interfaces, social and collaborative computing, ubiquitous and embodied computing, information visualization, human-robot interaction, and emerging interaction modalities.

Assistant Professor in Computational Analysis of Communication
The School is seeking a scholar specializing in network analysis, data analytics, computational communication research and/or computational social science. Candidates with expertise in areas such as social network analysis, computational analysis of text, images, and video, natural language processing (NLP), machine learning and AI-assisted research methods, time series and longitudinal analysis, digital trace and platform data, and multimodal analysis are welcome.

Assistant Professor in Environmental Communication and Sustainability
Candidates should have scholarly expertise in environmental communication, sustainability communication, climate change communication, risk communication, science communication, or related areas. The School particularly welcomes candidates whose research engages with artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, data-driven communication, public engagement, and communication for sustainable behavior and policy change.

Assistant Professor in Media Policy and AI Governance
The School is seeking a scholar specialising in the intersection of media policy, governance, and artificial intelligence, with a research agenda that bridges media studies, normative governance, and responsible AI frameworks. Areas of interest include the regulation of emerging technologies, the societal impact of algorithmic systems, ethics and governance of AI, and the evolving role of media institutions in the digital age.

Lecturer in Information, Knowledge, and Data Management
The School is seeking a scholar-teacher working in the fields of information science or knowledge management. Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas: knowledge management technologies; knowledge organization (taxonomy and ontology); information services and user engagement; digital curation.

This search will commence in AY2026 Semester 2.

Lecturer in Public Relations or Advertising
The School seeks candidates with extensive industry experience and expertise in one or more areas of strategic communication, including public relations, advertising, and creative content production. Candidates with professional experience in strategic communication within government agencies and the public sector, as well as expertise in digital and integrated communication, are particularly welcome.

This search will commence in AY2026 Semester 2.
