Dr Pan Qianqian co-publishes a background paper in the UNESCO Global Education Monitoring Report

Dr Pan Qianqian, Education Research Scientist at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP), co-wrote a background paper titled “Digital Literacy Assessment” for the UNESCO Global Education Monitoring Report. This paper summarises common digital skills frameworks and operationalizations in international and regional assessment programmes, which further outlines the common purposes of digital skills assessments and the challenges in assessing digital skills, including the dimensionality of digital literacy, the impact of assessment designs and applications and the fairness of assessments. It also discusses how digital skills are promoted and assessed in different education systems and concludes with recommendations for education authorities.
