Centre for Assessment & Evaluation (CAE): Visit by A/P Zhan Ying (28 Sep to 1 Oct 2026)

The Centre for Assessment & Evaluation (CAE) welcomed Associate Professor (A/P) Zhan Ying from The Education University of Hong Kong for a visit from 28 September to 1 October 2026. During her visit, A/P Zhan met with CAE colleagues and faculty for discussions on research collaboration, a seminar and a fireside chat.

At the seminar, Insights from Students Engagement in the Generative AI Feedback Process, A/P Zhan shared research on how students engage with feedback generated by Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). She also discussed the potential for GenAI to make feedback more timely and accessible while emphasising the importance of supporting students to engage with it thoughtfully. Her presentation highlighted the value of developing students' feedback literacy, including their ability to evaluate suggestions, reflect on their learning and make informed decisions about using feedback.

We thanked A/P Zhan for her generous sharing and thoughtful advice to our faculty. We greatly appreciate her contributions to the discussions and the opportunity to learn from her expertise.
