Assistant Professor Azilawati Jamaludin presents at the E7 SDT Cluster Engagement Sharing Session at Ngee Ann Primary School
On May 11 2023, Assistant Professor Azilawati Jamaludin, Assistant Centre Director of the Science of Learning in Education Centre (SoLEC), presented at the E7 SDT Cluster Engagement Sharing Session at Ngee Ann Primary on neuroscience for student management and special educational needs (SEN). The session introduced and highlighted the goals of the SoLEC. Neuroscientific principles, including neurogenesis, neurodiversity, and neuroplasticity, were discussed, emphasizing their relevance to educational practices. The interactive Q&A session with teachers addressed topics such as self-regulation, executive functioning, and evidence-based research. The session also explored strategies for addressing neurodiversity at scale, emphasizing the importance of teacher-student relationships and the use of technology to support students with SEN.
