850 attend global conference on education research in Singapore

THE Educational Research Association of Singapore (Eras), in collaboration with World Education Research Association (Wera) and the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, held the Eras International Conference and Wera Focal Meeting 2023 in Singapore.

It was attended by 850 educators and researchers from across the globe, including experts from the United Kingdom, United States, Spain, Germany, India and South-East Asian countries.

The conference’s mission was to highlight the latest technologies, techniques and tools in education, marking one of the first such gatherings after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The conference offered an opportunity for educational professionals worldwide to exchange insights on the unique challenges, innovative solutions and progress achieved globally.

Under the theme “Forging Ahead: Transforming Education in a Rapidly Changing World”, speakers and practitioners addressed a wide range of topics.

These included assessment, curriculum studies, character and citizenship education, diverse and inclusive education, early childhood education, educational policy research, emergent technologies and education, leadership and education, post-Covid-19 teaching and learning, sustainability education, well-being and education, teacher education and professional development as well as motivation and learning.

The conference provided attendees with insights from international experts and researchers, opportunities for global networking, ground-breaking developments in educational research and applications for educational practice.

The event was tailored to engage researchers, teachers, educators and graduate students.
