Editor's Corner: A new normal

As Singapore gradually re-opens the country, we must remain vigilant and not let our guard down. The battle against Covid-19 is not over.

As all of us mask up, wash and sanitise our hands, and adhere to safe distancing measures, the School's priority remains to ensure the health and well-being of our faculty, staff and students.

With this in mind, within these two months, the School hosted one of its biggest annual milestone events completely online for the first time: Celebrating the Class of 2020 on 25 July. Our annual White Coat Ceremony on 11 August was also viewed online.

We congratulate our newly minted doctors and the Class of 2020 on a new adventure! Meanwhile, two of our School's pioneers – Professor Naomi Low-Beer and Professor Michael Ferenczi – who will be leaving the School, have kindly written their special messages for this issue.
