Dr Caryn Ward from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill shares the importance of effective implementation strategies and sustained use of evidence-based practices

On 26 October 2022, the Office of Education Research (OER) hosted Dr Caryn Ward, Director of National Implementation Research Network (NIRN), Implementation Division Lead at Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she shared the importance of implementation science and its key components.

This was the second in-person seminar that OER has organised post-pandemic which attracted 24 attendees. The sessions dived into why effective implementation strategies are needed, and how active implementation strategies could be used to ensure the innovative practices within our education and community agencies, while keeping them relevant and feasible for different contexts through the use of case examples and data stories.
