Assoc Prof Loh Chin Ee Shares with CNA Online on Reading during Circuit Breaker

Associate Professor Loh Chin Ee from NIE’s English Language and Literature Academic Group shared with CNA Online a commentary on the importance of reading. In her article titled “Reading can be a useful escape from the circuit breaker in more ways than one”, Assoc Prof Loh encourages us to consider reading as a family bonding activity rather than a solitary pursuit. Reading has a powerful way to help us connect with the world, which makes us feel less lonely during the circuit breaker period. The examples mentioned in the article were taken from her OER project “Building a Reading Culture: A Nation-wide Study of Reading and School Libraries in Singapore Secondary Schools”.
