I did an internship with Facebook Singapore, in the sales and marketing team. As the only intern with a science background, I was able to bring a unique set of skills. Studying mathematics gave me analytical and critical-thinking skills that allowed me to identify insights and pick out trends more quickly!

Students who matriculated in Academic Year 2021/2022 or later have two options:

  • MH4912 (20-week internship, 10 AU, read as ICC Foundational Core).
  • MH4913 (10-week attachment, 5 AU, read as ICC Foundational Core).

Students who matriculated in Academic Year 2019/2020 or to Academic Year 2020/2021 have two options:

  • MH4912 (20-week internship, 10 AU, read as Major Prescribed Elective).
  • MH4907 (12-week attachment, 6 AU, read as Unrestricted Elective).

Students who matriculated in Academic Year 2016/2017 to Academic Year 2018/2019 have two options:

  • MH4903 (22-week internship, 11 AU, read as Major Prescribed Elective).
  • MH4907 (12-week attachment, 6 AU, read as Unrestricted Elective).

In all cases, NTU's Career & Attachment Office (CAO) sources for internship/attachment positions and offers them to interested students. It is also possible for individual students to source for a position themselves; self-sourced positions are subject to approval by the Division and the CAO. The precise schedule of the internship is set by CAO. In some cases, students may be required to carry out some follow-up activities within 4 weeks of completion of the internship or attachment.

The internship and attachment modules are graded on a Pass/Fail basis.
