LKCMedicine Scientists Among World’s Top Most-Cited

Thirty-three LKCMedicine scientist have been spotlighted among the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists in the Stanford-Elsevier 2025 list, underscoring the School’s growing global impact in biomedical and clinical research. The ranking method developed by Stanford University is deemed to be the gold standard in the scientific research field. Read the full list here.

NTU Singapore Ranked First in Singapore and Third in Asia in Latest QS Rankings

NTU Singapore has been ranked first in Singapore and third in Asia in the QS World University Rankings 2025, sharing the position with the National University of Singapore (NUS). As the youngest university in the top five, the ranking reflects the extraordinary progress NTU Singapore has made in just 34 years. Earlier in 2025, NTU placed 12th globally in the same rankings, cementing its standing among the world’s top universities.

LKCMedicine and NHG Health Launch New Postgraduate Training Ecosystem for Physiotherapists

On 23 October 2025, LKCMedicine and NHG Health launched Rehability, a new training ecosystem designed to upskill physiotherapists through a three-tiered structured programme that supports career progression. Starting in July 2026, the Physiotherapy Residency Programme by LKCMedicine will offer graduate-level certifications aimed at building core competencies in managing a range of conditions. The Specialist Certificate, part of the advanced tier, will equip experienced physiotherapists with expanded capabilities, including expertise in musculoskeletal injury management.

LKCMedicine Leads Southeast Asian Consortium to Tackle Dementia

The Dementia Research Centre (Singapore) and 23 clinicians from Asia established the Southeast Asian Consortium on Neurocognition, Neuroimaging and Biomarker Research Plus (SEACURE+) to better understand the unique traits of the Southeast Asian brain and develop a harmonised approach to prevent and manage dementia. SEACURE+ was launched on 23 November 2025 by the member countries and LKCMedicine Dean Professor Joseph Sung.

LKCMedicine Launches Molecular Research Award for Postdoctoral Fellows

Sponsored by QIAGEN, LKCMedicine established the Award to advance professional growth of the School’s postdoctoral fellows. On 11 November 2025, the agreement was signed and witnessed by LKCMedicine Vice-Dean (Research) Associate Professor Sanjay Chotirmall, Chief Operating Officer Dr Serene Ng, Assistant Dean (PhD Studies and Professional Development) Associate Professor Christine Cheung and QIAGEN CEO Mr Thierry Bernard.

Strengthening the LKCMedicine Faculty

Associate Professor Kevin Pethe (tenured) was promoted to Full Professor, effective 1 September 2025. Dr Theresia Mina was appointed Assistant Professor of Health Informatics and Chronic Disease Epidemiology, effective 15 October 2025, while Dr Chuchu Wang was appointed as Nanyang Assistant Professor, effective 3 November 2025. On 5 December 2025, the School welcomed Associate Professors Tom Carney and Sreenivasulu Reddy Mogali as Year 1 and Year 2 Assistant Dean, respectively. Dr Tao Huang was appointed Assistant Professor of Climate and Health, effective 15 December 2025
