Asst Prof Guo Jian appointed as Programme Co-Chair of IACR Asiacrypt Conference 2023

Assistant Professor Guo Jian, a faculty member at NTU's School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, has been apppointed as the ProgramCo-Chair of Asiacrypt 2023, a premier conference on cryptology research.

Asiacrypt, the Annual International Conference on Theory and Application of Cryptology and Information Security, is an international conference on all aspects of cryptology, held annually in a different venue in the Asia-Pacific region. Its 2023 edition is scheduled to be held in Guangzhou, China; previously, Singapore had hosted Asiacrypt 2021 virtually chaired by Assistant Professor Guo, and Asiacrypt 2022 will be held in Taipei.

The conference is sponsored by the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR), a non-profit organization committed to supporting the science of cryptology. Assistant Professor Guo is an elected member of IACR's board of directors, and also a member of the Asiacrypt Steering Committee.

As Program Co-Chair, Assistant Professor Guo will be tasked with assembling a program committee and selecting papers. This appointment was made in recognition of his prominent contributions to cryptology research and community. The School congratulates Assistant Professor Guo for his new role.
