Prof Sum Tze Chien awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze)

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Professor Sum Tze Chien, who has been honored with the prestigious Public Administration Medal (Bronze) at the 2023 National Day Awards.

Professor Sum is a faculty member of the Division of Physics and Applied Physics in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He is also the Associate Dean for Research at NTU's College of Science, as well as the Director of NTU's Institute of Advanced Studies.

The Singapore National Day Awards recognise exceptional contributions and dedicated service to the nation. In this year's edition, a total of 102 members of the NTU faculty and staff received these honours. Established in 1963, the Public Administration Medal comprises three tiers (gold, silver, and bronze), and is awarded to individuals who have exhibited exceptional proficiency, competence, and industriousness in the public sector.
