A photojournalism project, called ‘Fighting Demons’, which depicts the day-to-day life of Ms Ashley Poo, a teenager in 2019 when she was diagnosed by the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) with major depressive disorder, was published in the Straits Times. This work was produced as a final year project at NTU’s WKWSCI. Ms Poo had been struggling with low confidence and low self-esteem, and said she was bullied in Secondary 2.
