On 15 July 2025, the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, formalised a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the College of Media and International Culture (CMIC) at Zhejiang University (ZJU), China.

The agreement was signed by Professor Jack Qiu, Chair of WKWSCI, and Professor Yupei Zhao, Vice Dean of CMIC, with the aim of strengthening academic collaboration and offering transformative opportunities for students from both institutions.

Expanding Global Learning Pathways

This collaboration offers a two-phase academic pathway for outstanding undergraduate students majoring in Journalism and Communication at ZJU. In Phase I, students complete their undergraduate studies at ZJU. In Phase II, eligible students may advance to one of several Master’s by Coursework programmes at NTU, including:

  • Master of Media and Communication
  • Master of Science in Information Studies
  • Master of Science in Information Systems

Secure Early Offers

A key feature of this collaboration is the early action process, enabling stellar students to apply and secure conditional offers from NTU before completing their undergraduate degree. This benefits students by enhancing academic planning, reducing admission uncertainty, and offering a head start in preparing for graduate studies in Singapore.

A Commitment to Excellence and Global Engagement

This initiative is designed to foster global perspectives, interdisciplinary knowledge, and cross-cultural competencies. It also reinforces both institutions’ commitment to academic excellence and international engagement in the fields of media, communication, and information.
